Best Quotes from Trailer:

Dog: [voice over] What is the meaning of life? Are we here for a reason? Is there a point to any of this? And why does food taste so much better in the trash?

[we see different breeds of dog]
Dog: [voice over] This was me, and then this was me, then I came back as this little guy. A lot of lives for one dog to live, but I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s start at the beginning. For me it all began with a boy, his name was Ethan.

[we see Ethan playing with his dog as he repeats his name]
Ethan: Bailey, Bailey, Bailey, Bailey.
Dog: [voice over] My name was Bailey, Bailey, Bailey, Bailey.

[after Bailey swallows a coin]
Ethan: Come on, Bailey, do it.
Dog: [voice over] What does he want from me?
Ethan: Get it out. Get it out.

Dog: [voice over] Whenever life got Ethan down I knew exactly what to do.
[Bailey brings a ball to Ethan to play with]
Ethan: Ready?
Dog: [voice over] I’m ready.
Ethan: Go Bailey!
[Ethan throws the ball and Bailey runs after it]
Dog: [voice over] We played with that ball all afternoon. Ethan loved it.

Friend #1: Ethan, why do you always have this dog with you? Is he like a girlfriend replacement or something?
[Bailey nudges the boy’s leg and he falls]
Friend #2: The dog’s laughing at you.
Friend #1: Dog’s don’t laugh.
Dog: [voice over] That’s funny.

[Ethan watches Hannah, a girl he likes]
Dog: [voice over] Sometimes he just needed a little nudge.
[Bailey runs over to Hannah and puts his nose under her skirt]
Ethan: No!
Hannah: Woh!
Ethan: Sorry! That was the dog, that wasn’t me.
Hannah: [smiling] Maybe you should teach your dog some manners.

[referring to Ethan]
Dog: [voice over] We spent everyday together.

[as he watches Ethan and Hannah kiss]
Dog: [voice over] Where they fighting over food?
[he goes over and starts licking Hannah’s face]
Dog: [voice over] No, nothing in there.

Dog: [voice over] As the years went by I could tell my time with Ethan was coming to an end.

[we see Bailey is lying down looking ill]
Dog: [voice over] Good boy, Bailey. We’re going to miss you.
[we see Bailey close his eyes as he dies]
Dog: [voice over] And then it happened. I was back.
[we see Bailey as another dog breed]
Dog: [voice over] I didn’t have a… I’m a girl?

Dog: [voice over] I had a purpose. I was needed again, and again, and again. With each new life I was learning a new lesson.

[looking at his new owner who is now an adult Ethan]
Dog: [voice over] Hm, have we met before?

[referring to the old ball that Bailey and Ethan used to play with]
Ethan: Where did you find that? Okay. Ready? Go!
[Ethan throws the ball and reincarnated Bailey runs after it]

Dog: [voice over] I tried to make sense out of all the things I’d seen. Was there a point to this journey of life, and how did bacon fit in?

Dog: [voice over] If I can get you licking and loving, I have my purpose.
