Sherlock Holmes mistakes as submitted by our readers:

Factual: Actually, the mistake is a French language grammar error. The French verb; to miss someone is "manque".The French say the expression in reverse to the way it is said in English. For example; we would say "I miss you", but the French would say "You are missing to me." So in the scene when Dredger meets Holmes for the second time and he says in French "Tu m'as manque?", in French this would actually mean "Did I miss you?". The correct phrase in English would be "I was missing to you?". In addition to this he used the familiar term for "you", which in French is "tu", whereas he should have used the formal French phrase "vous". The correct phrase he should have used in French is "Je vous ai manque?"

Factual: In the scene when Watson measures a maggot on the dead body in the coffin, he uses imperial inches instead of metric.
