Police Officer: You folks need to turn around, there’s a pretty bad accident up ahead.
Ed Warren: Is there anything we can do?
Police Officer: You a doctor or something?
Ed Warren: Or something.
[he holds up his flashlight at Ed, Lorraine and then sees the Annabelle doll in the backseat]
Police Officer: Nice doll.
Ed Warren: That’s what you think.
[referring to their room of artifacts]
Ed Warren: Everything you see in here is either haunted, cursed, or has been used in some kind of ritualistic practice. Nothing’s a toy. It’s safer for these things to be in here than out there. Sometimes it’s better to keep the genie in the bottle.
[referring to the Annabelle as they lock her in a case]
Ed Warren: Did it work?
Lorraine Warren: The evil is contained.
[referring to Annabelle]
Lorraine Warren: The doll, it’s a beacon for other spirits.
Daniela: [to Mary Ellen] How could you not tell me you’re babysitting for the Warrens tonight?
Daniela: Don’t your parents keep any creepy stuff around?
Judy Warren: We keep it all locked away in a room, so that we’re safe. It’s not really good for anyone to go in there.
Judy Warren: My dad says that everything in there is either haunted, cursed, or used in some ritualistic practice.
[referring to drawing]
Daniela: Who’s that?
Judy Warren: The fairy man. They put coins over the eyes of the dead so he could take their souls.
Daniela: And what about the doll that’s in there?
Judy Warren: Annabelle. She’s in a case for a reason.
Judy Warren: I sometimes see things, like how my mom sees things.
[to the Annabelle doll, who is locked in a glass container]
Daniela: What did you do to get in there?
[Daniela is trapped in the artifacts room, Annabelle is missing from the glass container]
Voice: I like your doll.
Judy Warren: What did you do?
Daniela: I let her out.
Judy Warren: Who?
Daniela: Annabelle. I’m sorry.
Judy Warren: What else did you touch?
[the door bell rings and Mary Allen opens the front door to see a little girl]
Annabelle “Bee” Mullins: Can I play with Annabelle?
Mary Ellen: I think you have the wrong house. There’s no Annabelle here.
[turns her face slowly to Mary Ellen]
Annabelle “Bee” Mullins: Yes, she is.
[Judy wakes up to find Annabelle under the covers with her and then hears a voice in her room]
Voice: I like your doll.
[on the phone]
Mary Ellen: Mrs. Warren?
Judy Warren: Mom?
Lorraine Warren: Is everything okay?
Mary Ellen: Something is happening inside your house, and we’re not really sure what do to?
Lorraine Warren: Can I speak to Annabelle?
Mary Ellen: I’m sorry?
Lorraine Warren: You need to give her a soul, dear.
[in a demonic voice]
Lorraine Warren: She wants a soul!
