“Just because it’s what’s done, doesn’t mean it’s what should be done.”

I really loved the movie and I would recommend anyone to watch it. The movie isn’t just about a country girl finding her Prince Charming; there’s much more to the movie…

1. The Mother-Daughter bond.
“Mother, if you believe in them then I believe in them!”
Truly, it is so relatable. Like really, a Mother does have a great influence on her child’s life. (Well, my mother does).
It is because her mother taught her to be courageous and kind that in her whole life; even in the toughest of times, Cinderella chooses to be kind and courageous.

“Have courage and be kind.”

2. The Father-Daughter relation.
She was neither a princess nor she had a title. Yet, her father treated her like one.
Just like every father does.
And if he doesn’t, I bet every father wants to and tries to.

3. Fairytale amidst Reality.
I do believe that
“Every girl deserves to have a fairytale like day, once in her life.”
The movie simply shows that in an amazing way. Of course, life isn’t a fairytale and it is that truth that makes us hopeful. Hopeful for a one fairytale like day-one moment of magic-just one abnormally normal day, which will lead to hundreds of memories and tons of courage to face the reality…
Like she said: “It’s more than ENOUGH!”

4. Love above all.
In this modern materialistic world it is hard to let the heart have all the power. But believe me, the purest of thoughts rather actions come right from the heart.
The movie portrays LOVE in all its different forms.
Be it Cinderella’s love for her mother/father or Lady Tremaine’s Selfish Love for her own daughters or Prince’s love for the king or Cinderella’s love for animals or her love for her house & her Kingdom or be it Prince’s love for the people or be it the Prince’s love for a simple country girl or Cinderella’s love for just a mere apprentice… 😉
Thus, the movie shows love in as many ways as it could.

5. Humanity.
It isn’t just about “Being Human” but about having HUMANITY. And humanity isn’t just for the humans but for all the beings on this earth.
The way Cinderella treats their servants displays humanity.
The way she offers milk to the disguised Fairy Godmother displays humanity.
The way she protects the stag, displays humanity.
“Just because it’s what’s doesn’t mean it’s what should be done!”
(This is my favourite line from the movie)

6. Love ME
The movie shows how Prince wants Cinderella to love him for who he is and not for what he is. That’s why he doesn’t reveal his identity at first as he doesn’t want her to love him for his title but for the person he is.

7. Justice to the classic fairytale?
Well, frankly I have never read Cinderella. So, I can’t really say anything about it.
Yet, I feel that all the actors have tried their best to do justice to the characters and according to me they all did.

Go watch it and find your moment of magic and love.
“Every movie has a message, if only, you are willing to receive it!”
This one has got lots!

Lastly, I know this isn’t how a movie review is written, but then “Just because it’s what’s done that way, doesn’t mean it can’t be done this way!”
Or to put in Cinderella’s words:
“Just because it’s what’s not done, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be done.”

I prefer to look beyond.
For me movie isn’t just a movie. For me it’s a source of entertainment, learning and an escape from reality.
Just like books, movies are one of my ways to see the world the way it would/should be rather than the way it is!
