Nancy Drew: [voice over] Since moving to this nowhere town, I’m still waiting for an ounce of excitement.
[she gets interrupted as she’s skateboarding]
George Fayne: Nancy Drew, check it out. The creepy Twin Elms has gone viral.
[Nancy takes the phone]
Nancy Drew: [voice over] Finally, things are about to get a little more interesting.
Flora: [to Nancy] The legend dates back to 1885, when the Colfax brothers, who built Twin Elms, had a falling out over a woman. Legend has it, you can hear them crying in the walls. Sometimes it’s weird sounds, the lights start flickering. Things just stop making sense.
Flora: You think I’m crazy, huh?
Nancy Drew: A smidge.
Nancy Drew: There’s got to be an explanation. So, what do we know? One, we know a black Mercedes was looking around Twin Elms. Two, we know somebody came in here and scared us half to death. And three, we know it felt insanely real.
[to Helen; as she discovers a secret passage behind the book shelves]
Nancy Drew: Mean Girls first.
Bess Marvin: [to Nancy] The way your brain works is so cool.
Nancy Drew: I told you this is going to be awesome.
Hannah: [to Nancy] I wish I were half as brave as you. You’re as persuasive as your dad, and as righteous as your mom was.
Nancy Drew: So how do we get in?
Helen Corning: Well, I figured you know how to pick a lock.
Nancy Drew: Oh, now I’m public enemy number one?
Helen Corning: No, I just thought that…
George Fayne: Seriously, Nance, are you going to pick the lock or what?
Nancy Drew: Yeah, totally.
Helen Corning: Can you drive?
Nancy Drew: Technically.
Helen Corning: [to Nancy] You skate a lot better than you drive.
[referring to the test tube with liquid in it]
Nancy Drew: Is that safe to carry?
Bess Marvin: Yeah. Just don’t drop it.
[Nancy pretends to drop the test tube]
Bess Marvin: Okay. Just don’t! It’s not funny. Stop!
Nancy Drew: I’m so sorry.
Carson Drew: You committed several felonies.
Nancy Drew: Hey, they’re only felonies if you’re eighteen.
Nancy Drew: Delivering justice, it’s my duty.
Nancy Drew: Having fun is so much more fun with you in it.
