Scott Howard: You know that conversation we had about grabbing that house up in Napa?
Annie Howard: I want a house. I want the family, I want our kids to be able to play outside.
[referring to the house]
Annie Howard: So pretty.
Charlie Peck: I’m Charlie Peck.
Scott Howard: Scott Howard.
Charlie Peck: Welcome to Foxglove.
Charlie Peck: My great-great-grandfather built this house. It’s the only house I ever lived in. Foxglove is yours now.
Annie Howard: We’ll take good care of her.
[as they watch Charlie drive away]
Annie Howard: I feel so bad for him.
Scott Howard: I feel bad for Charlie. Feel good for us.
Annie Howard: You’re not going to believe this. Charlie is outside cutting the grass.
Scott Howard: What?
[referring to the lawn mower]
Annie Howard: Did you just get this out of the garage?
Charlie Peck: That’s where I keep it.
Annie Howard: I thought you’d be gone by now.
Charlie Peck: It’s hard, hard to say goodbye.
Scott Howard: I keep hearing this creaking sound.
Annie Howard: Honey, it’s an old house.
Mike: You just bought the Peck house, right?
Scott Howard: Yeah.
Mike: Charlie’s quite a guy. Just don’t look too close under the mask. His wife died in that house, Mrs. Charlie put Mr. Charlie’s shotgun in her mouth. At least that’s how Charlie explained it.
Charlie Peck: Hey, stop drilling holes in my house!
[referring to Charlie]
Scott Howard: The man acts like the house still belongs to him.
Annie Howard: Oh, my God. Maybe he’s lonely.
Charlie Peck: You okay?
Scott Howard: It’s not your house.
Scott Howard: This guy is dangerous. I’ve seen the way that he looks at you.
Annie Howard: Now Charlie is after me.
Scott Howard: [to Charlie] Stay away from my wife.
Charlie Peck: I you lost everything that was important, and then you had a chance to get it back, wouldn’t you just go for it?
Scott Howard: [to Annie] It’s okay. Okay, we’re not dying today.
Charlie Peck: Everything I do, I do for us.
