[referring to Jewel’s car]
Forrest Tucker: Hey, excuse me. Need some help?
Jewel: No, I’m good.
Forrest Tucker: Let me take a look.
Jewel: Do you know anything about cars?
Forrest Tucker: Uh, no, not really.


[sat down at a diner]
Jewel: So, uh, what did you say you do?
Forrest Tucker: Well that’s a secret.
Jewel: And why is that?
Forrest Tucker: Well because if I told you, you probably wouldn’t want to see me again.
Jewel: Who said I was going to see you again?
Forrest Tucker: Would you?
[Jewel doesn’t reply]


Forrest Tucker: Well, let’s take this place. Say it was a bank and instead of that counter up there, that was really a teller’s window, and you just walk in, real calm. So you walk right up, look her in the eye, and you say, “Ma’am, this is a robbery,” and you show her the gun, like this.
[he holds his finger up like a gun]
Forrest Tucker: And you say, “I wouldn’t want you to get hurt because I like you. I like you a lot. So don’t go breaking my heart now, okay.”
Jewel: [laughing] You’re not serious.


[walking into a bank]
Forrest Tucker: Excuse me. I’d like to open up an account.
Bank Manager #1: Well, great. What type of account do you have in mind?
Forrest Tucker: This kind.
[he opens up his jacket to reveal his gun]


[referring to Tucker]
Bank Manager #1: He said he was armed.
Bank Manager #2: He had a gun.
Det. John Hunt: You saw it.
Bank Manager #2: Well, he was also sort of a gentleman.


[referring to Tucker]
Bank Manager #2: He was very polite.


[referring to Tucker]
Bank Manager #3: He seemed like a nice enough fella.


[looking at security video footage of Tucker]
Detective: Look at that. Is he smiling?


[referring to Tucker]
Det. John Hunt: Five states.
Lt. Kelley: Ninety-three robberies.
Det. John Hunt: In two years.


[referring to Tucker; to Hunt]
Maureen: You think you can catch him?


[being interviewed about Tucker]
Det. John Hunt: Yeah, I won’t lie. I’d love to slap the cuffs on myself. I hope I get the chance.


Detective: He spent his whole life locked up. Except for the times that he broke out.
Det. John Hunt: Somebody should have told him to quit while he was ahead.
Detective: Well, you find something you love.


Forrest Tucker: I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.
Jewel: You’re never exactly where you’re supposed to be, are you? Now whenever I close the door I think, “Is this the last time I’ll ever have a chance to do whatever that they want?”
Forrest Tucker: You know what I do when the door closes, I jump out the window.


[referring to Tucker]
Man: I sat down with him once and I said, “Surely there’s an easier way to make a living.” And he looked at me and said, “I’m not talking about making a living. I’m just talking about living.”
