Starring: Blake Lively, Óscar Jaenada, Sedona Legge
OUR RATING: ★★★☆☆
Story: Thriller directed by Jaume Collet-Serra which centers on surfer, Nancy (Blake Lively), who is surfing alone on a secluded beach when she is attacked by a great white shark and stranded just a short distance from shore. Though she is only 200 yards from her survival, getting there proves the ultimate contest of wills.
Verdict: Simple story with not a lot of dialogue that’s beautifully shot and has some tense moments but what let’s it down is the silly and predictable ending. What elevates the movie is Blake Lively’s performance making it one of her best roles and the short time of the movie is definitely a plus.
