Starring: Jesse Eisenberg, Imogen Poots, Jonathan Aris, Danielle Ryan

Sci-fi mystery directed by Lorcan Finnegan. The story follows a young couple, Tom and Gemma (Jesse Eisenberg and Imogen Poots), who are looking for their starter home. When they visit a real estate agency, they are received by a strange sales agent, who accompanies them to a new, mysterious, peculiar housing development to show them a single-family home. There they get trapped in a surreal, maze-like neighborhood of identical houses.

We’ll add the best quotes once we’ve had a chance to watch the movie, but for now here’s a small selection.

Martin: Welcome to Yoneder, a wonderful development. It has all you’d need, and all you’d want.

[referring to the house he’s going to show Tom and Gemma]
Martin: Number nine. Number nine is not a starter home. This house is forever. A perfect environment for a young family.

[as they enter a room furnished for a baby]
Gemma: B for a boy.
Martin: Do you have children?
Gemma: No.

Martin: Many homes have the pretense of being ideal. But these homes really are ideal.
Gemma: It’s not exactly what we’re looking for.

[as they are driving away from the house; referring to the sales agent]
Gemma: That guy was strange.
Tom: Yeah.
[as they are trying to drive away from the development]
Tom: Wait. No, no, I don’t think this is the right way.
Gemma: Yeah, this is where we came in.
Tom: No. Is it?

[as they pass the house again]
Tom: Number nine again. Did we just do some kind of loop?
Gemma: How have we just…
Tom: Want me to drive? Because I think…

[as they keep driving around the same development of houses]
Tom: This is not possible. We can’t make turns like this over and over.
Gemma: We have gone this way.

[as they turn up outside of house number nine again]
Gemma: Tom. Oh, my God.

[as they find themselves trapped in the maze-like housing development]
Tom: What’s happening? Maybe they’ll let us go.
Gemma: What if they don’t come? What are we supposed to do? Should we just sit here and wait to die?

Gemma: I’ve never heard such silence.

[they find a box containing a baby, with the message “raise this child and be released” on it]
Gemma: It’s a boy.

Gemma: All we wanted was a home.
Martin: You are home.

[referring to the young boy they’ve been forced to raise that’s staring at them]
Tom: Creepy little mutant.
[the boy screams strangely, Tom and Gemma give him the finger, the boy copies them, giving them the finger in return]

Gemma: People like to be alone sometimes, not be with each other all the time.

[as he’s digging the grounds of the house]
Tom: This is something that I can do. Please just let me do this.

Tom: You’re acting like its mother!

Gemma: That’s nature. That’s just the way things are.
