Horror thriller directed by John Krasinski. A Quiet Place centers on a family living on a secluded abandoned farm, who have relegated themselves to living in total silence to survive, even using sign language to communicate with each other, in an effort to hide from mysterious supernatural forces attracted to sound that have surfaced and are attacking all over the world.

Lee Abbott: [referring to their basement, signing to each other] You cannot go down there!
Regan Abbott: Why not?

Lee Abbott: [referring to her hearing aids, signing to each other] This time, I took small amplifiers from the stereo.
Regan Abbott: It. Won’t. Work.

Lee Abbott: But we’ll keep trying until it does.
Regan Abbott: [as Lee goes to put the hearing aid on her ear] Stop. Stop. Just Stop.
Lee Abbott: [signing to each other] Time to go.
Marcus Abbott: [to Evelyn] Please don’t make me go.
Evelyn Abbott: You’ll be fine. Your father will always protect you. Your father will always protect you. Always. Listen to me, it’s important that you learn these things. He just wants you to be able to take care of yourself, to take care of me, when I’m old, and grey, and I have no teeth. Don’t worry.
Marcus Abbott: [signing to each other] I don’t want to go.
Lee Abbott: There’s nothing to be scared of.
Marcus Abbott: Of course there is.
Regan Abbott: I’ll go.
Lee Abbott: I need you to stay and help your mother.
Regan Abbott: I want to go.
Lee Abbott: Just stay here. You’ll be safe.
[Regan walks off in anger, Lee looks over to Evelyn]
Lee Abbott: Next time.
Marcus Abbott: [referring to Regan about Beau’s death] Why didn’t you let her come? Do you blame her for what happened?
Lee Abbott: No.
Marcus Abbott: Because she blames herself.
Lee Abbott: It was no one’s fault.
Marcus Abbott: You still love her, right?
Lee Abbott: Of course I do.
Marcus Abbott: You should tell her.
Lee Abbott: It’s okay. It’s okay. You’re safe. They can’t hear us.
Evelyn Abbott: It worked.
Lee Abbott: You just need to rest now.
Evelyn Abbott: [referring to Regan and Marcus] Where are they? Where are they?
Lee Abbott: I’ll find them.
Evelyn Abbott: No, she was with me. She was with me, and then I had to go and do laundry, and… He was with you. How did he…?
Lee Abbott: Rockets.
Evelyn Abbott: So he’d still be there.
Lee Abbott: I’m sure he is.

Evelyn Abbott: [referring to their newborn baby] It’s a boy?

Lee Abbott: [as Evelyn starts to cry] You have to stop.
Evelyn Abbott: So, I could’ve carried him. I should’ve carried him. Who are we if we can’t protect them? Who are we? You have to protect them. Promise me, you will protect them.
[Lee nods his head]
Marcus Abbott: [referring to Lee, signing to Regan] Don’t worry. Don’t worry, he’ll come for us.
Regan Abbott: [signing to each other] We can’t stay here. We need to go.
Marcus Abbott: He’ll come for us. He will come for us.
Regan Abbott: He’ll come for you!
Marcus Abbott: No, you’re wrong. He told me!
Lee Abbott: [signing to Regan] I love you. I have always loved you.
[Lee screams to get the alien to come over to him, Regan watches in horror as it attacks and kills Lee]
