[trying to console young Beau in the backseat]

Marcus Abbott: Mom?
Evelyn Abbott: Yeah?
[suddenly a creature crash lands on their car, but Evelyn drives off quickly]
Evelyn Abbott: It’s okay. It’s okay. We’re okay. We’re okay.
Marcus Abbott: That’s Dad. That’s Dad! Dad!
Evelyn Abbott: Where? Where? Where?
Marcus Abbott: Mom? Mom!
Evelyn Abbott: [as a bus is driving straight towards them] Oh, my God!
[Evelyn drives backwards to get away from the bus]
Marcus Abbott: Mom! Mom!

Emmett: [after being rescued by Emmett] I don’t know why you came all the way up here. There’s nothing left.
[Emmett looks at the baby]
Evelyn Abbott: Please.

Evelyn Abbott: There are people out there. People worth saving.
Emmett: You don’t know, do you? I do. The people that are left, they’re not the kind of people worth saving.

Emmett: We won’t survive.
Evelyn Abbott: We have to try.

Man: Most people had finally given up hope.
