Best Quotes

Valerie Young: So Clem’s one-stop shopping for life-shortening and s**t, cheeseburgers, guns. Does he deep-fry bullets?
Duane Mitchell: He might. You can damn near deep fry anything these days.

Valerie Young: I’m going to let you finish that heart attack, and I’m going to go protect and serve.
Duane Mitchell: Be right there, rookie. I protect and serve better on a full stomach.

Teddy Murretto: Which one of you going to arrest me? Alright. Somebody arrest me. Will one of you please f***ing arrest…
Valerie Young: [tasers Teddy] You’re under arrest.

Teddy Murretto: Can I get my cell?
Valerie Young: The only cell you’re getting is the one you’re spending the night in.

Valerie Young: You know, I had this boyfriend in high school, Curtis Flores. My father didn’t care for him, not that he liked any of my boyfriends. But he always said about Curtis, “Honey, that boy is never more than a day ahead of the devil.” Curtis.
Teddy Murretto: Curtis sounds like a gem. Whatever happened to him?
Valerie Young: He was stabbed and killed in the parking lot of an Applebee’s. He let the day get past him, and the devil was right there.

Trooper Faulkner: How is that workout coming along?
Kimble: Yeah, I gave up on the workouts.
Trooper Faulkner: Just make decisions, man.
Kimble: Yeah. I’m making the decision not to work out.

Teddy Murretto: You got any food? I’m famished.
Ruby: Just loaf.
Teddy Murretto: What the hell is loaf?
Ruby: If you’re into that dried dog s**t, it’s delicious.
Valerie Young: This just ain’t your night, Teddy.

Teddy Murretto: [as Viddick is locked up in the cell opposite him] What did you do?
Bob Viddick: I did what I had to do, to get in here. To get to you, Teddy.

Teddy Murretto: We make a deal?
Bob Viddick: Listen, Teddy. I don’t want you to think that you can save yourself, because you obviously can’t.

Bob Viddick: Guarantees aren’t mine to give, Teddy. You know how this goes, right? It’s up to you where I go next.

Teddy Murretto: I know who you are, pal. I’ve heard all about you. Legendary Bob Viddick. Some chilling s**t floating around about you. That poor b****rd in Tampa, you cut off his arm with a carving knife, then you beat him to death with that same arm, right?
Bob Viddick: It was his leg.

Bob Viddick: I’ve heard about you too, Teddy. Say you’re very effective. How you’re not dead a dozen different ways by now is a cross between a fluke and f***ing miracle.
Teddy Murretto: More magic trick than anything really. Mind over matter. I give people what they want.
Bob Viddick: And take more than you need.

Bob Viddick: Hey, what do you say we cut through all the bulls**t? You want to live.
Teddy Murretto: That’d be nice.
Bob Viddick: Alright, and you still think that’s possible, because you haven’t been paying attention, so you try to buy your way out.

Teddy Murretto: Let’s make a deal, man. I got a lot of money.
Bob Viddick: You mean the money you stole from them? What you fail to understand, Teddy, is it’s not about the money anymore. There’s no play here, Teddy. No deal to be made. It’s a simple choice.
Teddy Murretto: It’s never simple.
Bob Viddick: Are you a f***ing idiot? It is that simple.

Bob Viddick: Aspirin’s bad for your liver.
Brad: Cool, dude. Thanks. You a f***ing doctor?
Bob Viddick: Yep. I got my degree from the University of Common Sense.

Bob Viddick: [to Brad] I’m getting a sinking suspicion that “Huh” is the word that best describes you.

Bob Viddick: [as Young points her gun at him] You’re shaking.
Valerie Young: Yeah. I’m nervous. It’s amazing I haven’t blown your f***ing head off.

Valerie Young: I did this in Army Medical Corps on a cadaver.
Officer Peña: On a f***ing cadaver? Was it a cadaver before it started?
Valerie Young: Are you f***ing kidding me?
Officer Peña: What? I’m just, I’m nervous. I make bad jokes when I’m nervous.

Kimble: What’s got you so curious?
Huber: Curiosity.

Valerie Young: Let’s you and me talk, man to man.
Teddy Murretto: Never more than a day ahead of the devil, huh?

Valerie Young: Tell me why Mr. Meryl Streep back there faked a DUI to get into this station for a shot at killing you?
Teddy Murretto: I don’t know. Why don’t you ask him? Bob Viddick.
Valerie Young: Why are you trying to kill him?
Bob Viddick: Why do you care? You don’t even like him.

Valerie Young: [to Teddy, referring to Viddick] You can tell me everything, and, I mean, every last f***ing thing. Or option two, you can keep smart-a**ing me, shrugging off my questions with that stupid f***ing look on your face, and I’ll put you and your pal in the same cell together.

Valerie Young: You’re a fixer.
Teddy Murretto: No, I hate that f***ing term. I don’t fix. I manufacture opportunities.

Teddy Murretto: The feds offered me a deal. I took the deal.
Valerie Young: What kind of deal?
Teddy Murretto: Reciprocal. Get people to turn.

Teddy Murretto: And then one night I almost got accidented.
Valerie Young: What does that mean?
Teddy Murretto: They almost blew me the f*** up. So I had to go to ground, disappear.

Bob Viddick: Hard chargers get charged hard.
Valerie Young: What does that mean?
Bob Viddick: It means, if you push through much, then you get pushed back hard. That doesn’t sound as cool.
Valerie Young: But it’s meant to be helpful?
Bob Viddick: What the f*** do you think I said it for?

Bob Viddick: You had it all. You know, they took good care of you, didn’t they? Money, women, whatever. Why in the hell would you give that up? You know, you could’ve kept going. You know, they would’ve never let you go down. You’d never see the inside of a courtroom, or that cell. You should’ve just kept going.
Teddy Murretto: I don’t do should’ve, would’ve, could’ve.
Bob Viddick: No, you just light your entire f***ing life on fire, run as fast as you can, hoping that’ll put out the flames.

Teddy Murretto: You’ve never been forced down the f***ing rabbit hole making life and death decisions, Bob.
Bob Viddick: I do that every f***ing day.
Teddy Murretto: No, you don’t. Those aren’t decisions. Those are directives.

Teddy Murretto: You’re a psychopath, Bob, plain and simple.
Bob Viddick: I’m not a psychopath, Teddy. I’m a professional.
Teddy Murretto: And there’s a difference.
Bob Viddick: You’ll know it when you see it.

EMT: You say he fell?
Anthony Lamb: Yeah. Yeah. Well, to clarify. I shot him in the head, and then he took a little tumble.

Anthony Lamb: [after he shoots Peña] What is the first rule of policing, huh? Beware of the unusual element. And in this scenario, I believe that is me.

Huber: [after he shoots and kills Mitchell] I used to be a much better man.

Teddy Murretto: How bad is it?
Valerie Young: You happen to hear all that gunfire? Are you a f***ing idiot, Teddy?
Bob Viddick: That question persists.
Teddy Murretto: I hate talking about the gunfire.

Bob Viddick: Anthony Lamb.
Anthony Lamb: Is that big bad Bob Viddick? Sideshow Bob, what the f*** are you doing in there?
Teddy Murretto: You know this whack job?

Anthony Lamb: Theodore Murretto. I’ll be a f***ing monkey’s uncle. Look at you in there. One of male grooming’s greatest misfires, the man bun. You look like old Tom Cruise in that Samurai picture that nobody watched.

Anthony Lamb: You know what, Bob, I’m sorry. I’m going by the more friendly, and less formal Tony these days. I know it’s been a minute.

Bob Viddick: Hey, Anthony, I’m going to need you to clear off this contract.
Anthony Lamb: No. No, can do, Bob. This contract is free fire, as there are competing parties for one Theodore Murretto.

Bob Viddick: Clear off my contract now, Anthony. Or as God is my witness, I’m going to cut off your f***ing head, put it in a bag, and drive it to Chicago, I s**t you not.
Anthony Lamb: Meow. Is that a gauntlet you’re throwing down there, Bob? Are we going to duel to the death? Well, if so, I foresee some terrible things for you in the not too distant future, Bob.

Anthony Lamb: I drew you a d**k. It just got weird. Well, it’s going to get weirder. You like this accent, Murretto? Murretto. I’m coming in there, whether you like it or not.
Bob Viddick: [to Teddy] Now you see the difference? That is a psychopath.

Teddy Murretto: What do you think they’re doing out there?
Bob Viddick: Finding a way in. And when they do get in, they’ll kill you first. I’m going to tell you to barter with them, but Lamb will just lie, then strip the skin off your bones once you give him what he wants.

Bob Viddick: All you had to do was just let me blow Murretto’s head off when I had the chance. Then you wouldn’t be sitting there with a bullet in your side praying for a f***ing miracle.
Valerie Young: Bullets before prayers.
Teddy Murretto: Is that a poem?

Bob Viddick: [referring to Teddy] He’s a mob flunky conman. Who would you rather have fighting for your life right now, Val?
Valerie Young: Not you. Never you.
Bob Viddick: Why, because I’m the bad guy?

Anthony Lamb: I already killed four people tonight, including two of your coworkers. I am bushed.
Huber: I killed my f***ing sergeant tonight, and an innocent civilian.
Anthony Lamb: Yep, well, you’re in the cop business, so that makes you a murderer. But I’m in the murder business, so that just makes me a laborer. You see how that works?

Anthony Lamb: [to Huber] I mean, lookit, don’t you want to look like that one time? F***ing Chris Hemsworth enjoys a beach day with his wife Elsa Pataky. Just one time in your life don’t you want to look like Thor? Of course you do. It’s only going to happen with hard work, and a swinging to the mighty hammer. So carry on, my Norseman. Come on, Thor!

Valerie Young: [throw the cell keys to Teddy] I don’t want to die in here if I can help it. But I’m trusting you, Teddy, to do as you say, and help me, and not run from this.
Bob Viddick: All Teddy does is run. He’s running from me. He ran to you.

Bob Viddick: [referring to Teddy] Please tell me your grand plan was not freeing that f***ing idiot and putting a gun in his hand.
Valerie Young: What choice did I have?
Bob Viddick: Freeing and arming me.
Valerie Young: You’re a hired killer.
Bob Viddick: I wish you knew what I knew about him. But you were so hell-bent on saving the day, that you wound up shooting yourself.

Valerie Young: I won’t live in a world where people like you win, Viddick.
Bob Viddick: Right. You’ll just safeguard a lying a**hole, and give your life to protect his.
Valerie Young: Should I look like you, Bob?
Bob Viddick: It’s honest.
Valerie Young: It’s lawless. And I won’t stand for it.
Bob Viddick: No, you’ll just sit there and bleed out instead.

Bob Viddick: Give me the keys, Valerie.
Valerie Young: No. And don’t call me Valerie. It’s creepy.

Bob Viddick: Now pretty soon you’re going to lose consciousness, you’re going to fall asleep, and you’re not going to wake up.
Valerie Young: Then will you listen to my dying wish before I do?
Bob Viddick: You have someone you love?
Valerie Young: Don’t we all?
Bob Viddick: No, we don’t. But you do.

Anthony Lamb: We all deserve the water in the end, no matter what we’ve done.

Bob Viddick: Parlay.
Teddy Murretto: What?
Bob Viddick: Pirate code. A temporary ceasefire to achieve a common end, as in this end.

Valerie Young: Viddick was right about you. But we are what we are. Always. You seem to always have so much to say. Nothing new now?
Teddy Murretto: I was just wondering where all this is going.
Valerie Young: Yeah. Me too. I’ll guess we’ll find out soon.

Valerie Young: You can run.
Teddy Murretto: So you could shoot me in the back?
Valerie Young: You’ve already stabbed me in mine.

Valerie Young: [as they’re gunfighting] Never more than a day ahead of the devil, Teddy. Or maybe I’m your devil now. And this is our day. You can’t run from this. Hell’s already here.

Teddy Murretto: You know, Val, I’m just sitting here wondering where things went wrong between us. We were up to such a good start.

Valerie Young: [after Viddick saves her and kills Teddy] What’s in the bag, Bob?
Bob Viddick: Go home, Val.
Valerie Young: She with you? Schier?
Bob Viddick: What does it matter? You made it. Let this go, Val. Just let it go.

Bob Viddick: [over phone] All good. Murretto’s burned. Yeah, s**t. Easy breezy. Oh, by the way, I want you to call that Joe Totino in Chicago. Tell him I’m bringing him a beautiful piece of Lamb.

Valerie Young: [texting her husband as she decides to chase after Viddick] Hey, baby. I’m putting in a couple of hours overtime. See you later. I love you.
