Gellert Grindelwald: [referring to the restaurant] Would this be one of your regular haunts?
Albus Dumbledore: I don’t have any regular haunts.
Gellert Grindelwald: [referring to the blood pact] Sometimes I imagine I still feel it around my neck. I carried it for so many years. How does it feel around yours?
Albus Dumbledore: We can free each other of it.
Albus Dumbledore: What you’re doing is madness.
Gellert Grindelwald: It’s what we said we’d do.
Albus Dumbledore: Well, I was young. I was…
Gellert Grindelwald: Committed, to me. To us.
Albus Dumbledore: No. I went along because…
Gellert Grindelwald: Because?
Albus Dumbledore: Because I was in love with you.
Gellert Grindelwald: Yes. But that’s not why you went along. It was you who said we could reshape the world. That it was our birthright.

Gellert Grindelwald: Can you smell it? The stench. Do you really intend to turn your back on your own kind, for these animals? With or without you, I’ll burn down their world, Albus. There’s nothing you can do to stop me.
Aberforth: Here to meet my brother, I expect.
Newt Scamander: No, sir. We’re here to see Albus Dumbledore.
Aberforth: That would be my brother.
Albus Dumbledore: Has Newt told you why you’re here?
Theseus Scamander: Was he meant to?
Albus Dumbledore: No. As a matter of fact.
Theseus Scamander: [referring to the blood pact] Can I ask, what would possess you to make such a thing?
Albus Dumbledore: Love. Arrogance. Naiveté. Pick your poison. We were young, we were going to transform the world. This ensured that we would, even if one of us had a change of heart.

Albus Dumbledore: [to Theseus] The world as we know it is coming undone. Gellert’s pulling it apart with hate, bigotry. Things that seem unimaginable today will seem inevitable tomorrow, if we don’t stop him. Should you agree to do what I ask, you’ll have to trust me. Even when every instinct tells you not to.
Queenie Goldstein: [to Credence] You’re a Dumbledore. It’s an important family. You know this because he’s told you. He’s also told you they abandoned you. That you were a dirty secret. He says Dumbledore abandoned him too, and he knows how you feel. And for that reason, he’s asked you to kill him.
Jacob Kowalski: I said I wanted out, and I want out.
Eulalie ‘Lally’ Hicks: Come now, Mr. Kowalski.
Jacob Kowalski: I can’t believe my therapist said you wizards don’t exist. What a waste of money!
Eulalie ‘Lally’ Hicks: You do know I’m a witch, right?
Jacob Kowalski: Yeah. Look, you seem like a really nice witch. You don’t know what I’ve been through with you people. So, could you please get out of my life?
Eulalie ‘Lally’ Hicks: You met and fell in love with a witch named Queenie Goldstein, had your brain wiped by means of Obliviation, only it didn’t take. And as a result, you reunited with Ms. Goldstein who, after your refusal to marry her, decided to join Gellert Grindelwald and his dark army of followers, who pose the single greatest threat to both your world and ours in four centuries. How did I do?
Jacob Kowalski: That was good. Except for the part about Queenie going over to the dark side. I mean, yeah, she’s cuckoo. But she’s got a heart bigger than this whole crazy island. And she’s so smart, you know? She can legitimately read your brain, you know? She’s a whatchamacallit…
Eulalie ‘Lally’ Hicks: A Legilimens.
Jacob Kowalski: Yeah.

Jacob Kowalski: You see this? You see the pan? That’s me, I’m the pan. I’m all dented, dime-a-dozen. I’m just a schmo. I don’t know what kind of crazy ideas you have in your head there, lady, but I’m sure as hell you could do a lot better than me. Goodbye.
Eulalie ‘Lally’ Hicks: I don’t think we can, Mr. Kowalski. You could have ducked under the counter, but you didn’t. You could have looked the other way, but you didn’t. In fact, you were willing to put yourself in danger to save a perfect stranger. Seems to me you’re just the kind of average Joe the world needs right now. You just don’t know it yet. That’s why I had to show you. We need you, Mr. Kowalski.
Newt Scamander: So, this is my brother, Theseus, and he works for the Ministry.
Theseus Scamander: Actually, head of the British Auror Office.
Eulalie ‘Lally’ Hicks: Ah. Well, I’ll have to ensure my wand registration’s up-to-date.
Theseus Scamander: Yes. Although, strictly speaking, that doesn’t fall within my purview.
Newt Scamander: Well, I imagine that you’re all wondering why you find yourselves here. And in anticipation of that, Dumbledore asked that I convey a message. So, Grindelwald has the ability to see snatches of the future. So, we have to assume that he’ll be able to anticipate what we do before we do it. So, if we hope to defeat him, and to save our world, to save your world, Jacob, then our best hope is to confuse him.
Jacob Kowalski: Excuse me. I’m sorry. How do you confuse a guy that can see the future?
Yusuf Kama: Countersight.
Newt Scamander: Exactly. The best plan being no plan.
Eulalie ‘Lally’ Hicks: Or, many overlapping plans.
Newt Scamander: Thus, confusion.
Jacob Kowalski: It’s working on me right now.
Newt Scamander: [as he pulls out a wand] In fact, Dumbledore asked that I give you something, Jacob. It’s snake wood. It’s somewhat rare.
Jacob Kowalski: Are you kidding me right now? Is this thing real?
Newt Scamander: Yes. Well, it doesn’t have a core, so sort of. But, yes.
Jacob Kowalski: It’s sort of real?
Newt Scamander: More importantly, where we’re going, you’ll need it.

Eulalie ‘Lally’ Hicks: You know what they say. A book can take you around the world and back. All you have to do is open it.
Jacob Kowalski: She ain’t kidding.
Theseus Scamander: So, this is the team that’s going to take down the most dangerous wizard we’ve faced in over a century. A magizoologist, his indispensable assistant, a schoolteacher, a wizard descended from a very old French family, and a Muggle baker with his fake wand.
Jacob Kowalski: Hey, we got you too, pal, and his wand works.
Theseus Scamander: Who wouldn’t like our chances?
Bunty Broadacre: No one can know everything, not even you.
Newt Scamander: [to Vogel] I have a message from a friend, and it cannot wait. Do what is right, not what is easy. He said it was important that I reach you tonight, that you hear them tonight, the words.
Anton Vogel: It’s in moments such as these we are reminded that it is this peaceful transfer of power which marks our humanity, and demonstrates to the world that, despite our differences, all voices deserve to be heard. Even voices which many may find disagreeable.
Anton Vogel: And so, after an extensive investigation, the Confederation has concluded that insufficient evidence exists to prosecute Gellert Grindelwald for the crimes against the Muggle community, of which he was accused. He is hereby absolved of all his alleged crimes.
Jacob Kowalski: Are you kidding me? They’re letting the guy off? I was there, he was killing people.

Minerva McGonagall: Evening, Aberforth.
Aberforth: Evening, Minerva. Apologies for calling you a stupid sod.
Minerva McGonagall: Apology accepted.
Albus Dumbledore: I’m afraid I’ll have to cut our evening short.
Aberforth: Off to save the world, are we?
Albus Dumbledore: That will take a better man than me.
Vinda Rosier: [referring to Credence] And you’re sure that he can kill Dumbledore?
Gellert Grindelwald: His pain is his power.
Albus Dumbledore: I trust you’re enjoying your wand, Mr. Kowalski.
Jacob Kowalski: Me? Oh, yeah. Thank you, Mr. Dumbledore. It’s a real pip.
Albus Dumbledore: I advise you to keep it close.
Albus Dumbledore: Professor Hicks’s defensive magic is superb. Until next time.
Jacob Kowalski: Such a flatterer.
Eulalie ‘Lally’ Hicks: Well, not really. It is superb.

Credence Barebone: Do you know what it’s like to have no one? To always be alone?
Albus Dumbledore: It’s you. You’re the one sending messages in the mirror.
Credence Barebone: I’m a Dumbledore. You abandoned me. The same blood that runs my veins runs yours.
Albus Dumbledore: Things are not quite what they appear, Credence. No matter what you’ve been told.
Albus Dumbledore: [to Credence, referring to Grindelwald] What he’s told you isn’t true, but we do share the same blood. You are a Dumbledore. I’m sorry for your pain. We didn’t know, I promise.
Newt Scamander: So, how will I know where to find him?
Warder: He’s your brother?
Newt Scamander: Yes.
Warder: He will be the one who looks like your brother.

Ida Webb: Gellert Grindelwald wants a Muggle-wizard war, and if he gets his wish, he won’t just destroy their world, he’ll destroy ours as well.
Anton Vogel: Which is why he cannot win. Let him stand as a candidate. Let the people vote. When he loses, the people will have spoken. But deny them their voices, and those streets will run with blood.
Jacob Kowalski: Lally, the guy with the hair, sitting next to Edith. He looks like he can kill somebody. He also looks like my Uncle Dominic.
Eulalie ‘Lally’ Hicks: Is your Uncle Dominic the Norwegian Minister of Magic?
Jacob Kowalski: No.
Eulalie ‘Lally’ Hicks: Didn’t think so.
Theseus Scamander: Rescuing me, are you?
Newt Scamander: That’s the general idea.
Theseus Scamander: And I presume this, whatever it is that you are doing, is strategic.
Newt Scamander: Yes, a technique called limbic mimicry. It discourages violent engagement, theoretically. I’ve only actually ever attempted it once before.
Theseus Scamander: And the results?
Newt Scamander: Inconclusive. Of course that was a laboratory setting, and the conditions were strictly controlled. And the, well, the current conditions are more volatile, so making it less predictive of the ultimate outcome.
Theseus Scamander: The ultimate outcome presumably being our survival.
Newt Scamander: You’re not swiveling properly. Swivel, but delicately.
Theseus Scamander: I’m swiveling like you’re swiveling, Newt.
Newt Scamander: I don’t believe you are.

Theseus Scamander: [as she shows Newt the newspaper] Jacob tried to murder Grindelwald?
Eulalie ‘Lally’ Hicks: It’s a long story.
Tiny Witch 1: [referring to taking his wand] Can I…
Jacob Kowalski: Mm-mm. Very dangerous. It’s very powerful. It’s rare. If it got in the wrong hands, you know, mess you up.
Tiny Witch 2: Where did you get it?
Jacob Kowalski: I got it for Christmas.
Jacob Kowalski: The Slytherin boys over there, they gave me these. They’re delicious. Who wants one?
Newt Scamander: I never cared for Cockroach Clusters much myself. Although, Honeydukes are supposed to be the best.
