Supernatural horror sequel directed by Patrick Wilson based on the story and characters created by film franchise creator Leigh Whannell. Insidious 5: The Red Door (2023) centers on the final chapter of the Lambert family’s saga. Set ten years after the end of previous first two films, as Josh Lambert (Patrick Wilson), heads east to drop his son Dalton (Ty Simpkins) off at college, Dalton’s college dream becomes a nightmare when the repressed demons of his past suddenly return to haunt them both. To put their demons to rest once and for all, Josh and Dalton must go deeper into The Further than ever before, facing their family’s dark past and a host of new and more horrifying terrors that lurk behind the red door.
We’ll add the best quotes once the movie is released and we’ve had a chance to watch it, but for now, here’s a small selection.
Josh Lambert: We’re ready to forget The Further, once and for all.
Dalton Lambert: Five. Four. Three. Two. One.
Josh Lambert: My brain’s just been foggy past few years. All I ever wanted was to be a good dad.
Josh Lambert: Our family has been through a lot together.
Dalton Lambert: Do you ever try and get help?
Josh Lambert: No, I’m just trying to push through.
Renai Lambert: [to Josh] Why don’t you drive Dalton to college. You still have a few weeks before your students show up, right? Just and idea to reconnect. I know it’s been tough with you two.
Art Professor: The balance of light and dark is what we’re after.
Student: You’re in art school, I take it?
Dalton Lambert: Yeah. You go here too?
Art Professor: Draw and experience that defines you.
Art Professor: Sink deep into your memory and let’s see what light can find.
Dalton Lambert: When I was ten I was in a coma. But I don’t even remember being sick.
Dalton Lambert: I’m seeing crazy stuff. I think these drawings could be clues from my past.
Renai Lambert: [to Dalton] There is so much you don’t know, and I was too scared to tell you the truth.
Josh Lambert: Our family has been keeping secrets. They suppressed our memories. But I can still feel something following us.
Dalton Lambert: There’s only one way to find out.
Josh Lambert: It’s happening again. Something is following us.
Child’s Voice: Can you hear me?
Dalton Lambert: I feel like I’m getting closer to something. Or something is getting closer to me.
Elise Rainier: When you awaken the dead, the further you travel, the riskier your journey will become.
