Story:
A24 comedy written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli. The Dream Scenario (2023) centers on hapless family man Paul Matthews (Nicolas Cage), who finds his life turned upside down when millions of strangers suddenly start seeing him in their dreams. But when his nighttime appearances take a nightmarish turn, Paul is forced to navigate his newfound stardom.

Andy: Well, I’m in this forest, wandering around, eating these strange mushrooms. And I’m like in a full tuxedo for some reason. And there’s other people also dressed up, but they’re all scared, like frozen in fear. And then I realize it’s because of this really tall man running towards me.
Andy: [after describing his dream] And that’s all I remember.
Paul Matthews: Huh. Interesting. So, I’m looking at the mushrooms instead of helping.
Andy: Oh, I suppose. Yes.
Paul Matthews: [after Greta describes her dream] Okay. So I’m just observing again. But that’s funny. Interesting one.
Photographer: You’re scaring me, Paul. I’m going to have nightmares.
Trent: I wish I was the one people were dreaming about.
Mary: Me too!
Paul Matthews: Yeah. No, it’s something.
Chris: [referring to Paul] How’s he dealing with all of this?
Janet Matthews: We’re not even the type of people that like attention, you know?
Janet Matthews: Do you think other people are seeing you naked?
