Best Quotes from Twisters
Kate: You know what today is?
All: The day we tame a tornado!
Addy: Ever since you got struck by lightning, you’re no fun.
Praveen: Yeah, well, that’s what happens.
Kate: I don’t chase anymore.
Javi: The girl I know, she’d be going into the storms while everyone else was running away.
Kate: Well, I’m not that person anymore.
Kate: Business entrepreneur was not how I saw your future. We used to feel lucky if we could get you to wear pants.
Javi: Well, that hasn’t completely changed.
Kate: Who are they?
Javi: Chasers out of Arkansas.
Scott: Hillbillies with a YouTube channel.
Javi: That’s Tyler Owens. He calls himself Tornado Wrangler.
Kate: What does that even mean?

Tyler: It’s high risk, high reward.
Kate: Well, go for the reward. You don’t want Ben to think you’re boring.
Tyler: No, boring is not usually a problem for me, Kate.
Tyler: Oh, it’s on now, Ben! You ain’t in London anymore! Strattonham, Berkshire, what the hell?
Boone: [referring to Tyler] You know, he’s a cowboy scientist.
Tyler: Kate’s from New York. Can’t trust a thing she says.
Kate: Well, you can always trust a guy who puts his face on a T-shirt.
Kate: Here’s the mystery.
Tyler: We don’t know how a tornado forms. We see the hook on the radar, but…
Kate: What are all the invisible factors coming together? I mean, every little detail…
Tyler: Has to be perfect. And it’s a mix of what we know and everything we can’t understand. It’s part science, part religion.
Tyler: The birth of a tornado, nature’s masterpiece.
Ben: [referring to the tornado] God, do we have to drive into it again?
Tyler: No, Ben. It’s driving into us.
Kate: [as they’re trying to get away from the tornado] What was that?
Javi: I think I killed some chickens!
Tyler: How much more do these people got to lose before y’all are done making a difference?
Kate: Sorry, says the guy setting up shop, selling T-shirts and mugs after a storm’s hit.
Kate: This ain’t my first rodeo.
Tyler: Look at that. I learned something about you.
Kate: Oh, the Tornado Wrangler is scared of tornadoes.

Kate: You’re scared of tornadoes but not of riding bulls?
Tyler: Well, tornadoes, bulls, same thing. Fear is the reason you do it. You don’t face your fears. You ride them.
Cathy: [to Kate] I’m still waiting for you to save the world.
Cathy: [referring to Kate] Always knew when weather was coming, even better than the cows.
Tyler: Wow, you hear that? You’re better than the cows.
Cathy: That’s a compliment.
Cathy: [referring to Kate] Worse the weather, the happier the girl.
Kate: In the field, in the moment, when it mattered, I got it wrong. Okay, I underestimated what we were up against, and I pushed it too far. And for what? Some childish dream I had that I could make a difference? It was never going to work. And I have to live with that forever.
Tyler: Tornado rating, it’s not based on size or wind speed. The power we ascribe to it, it’s based on damage. Now, it’s only after the fact we can really define it. What it destroys. What it takes from us.
Tyler: [referring to the tornado] Oh, she’s perfect!
Kate: She’s gorgeous.
Kate: [referring to the tornado] Well, you don’t have to drive into it. It’s really dangerous.
Tyler: Oh, that’s why we have to drive into it. Can’t miss from in there.
Tyler: Don’t worry. I’m a professional.
Kate: You’re an a**hole.
Javi: You know, there was a time when I’d do anything for you, Kate.
Cathy: You have any idea what you’re getting yourself into?
Tyler: I’m beginning to.
Lily: I thought for certain I was going to fly.
Boone: No, you did fly.
Tyler: Still not telling me when you’re coming back?
Kate: I don’t know. This could be it.
Tyler: Can’t tell if you’re joking or not.
Kate: Well, maybe if you feel it, you should chase it.
