Elphaba: [to Glinda, referring to Fiyero] It might be hard for you to comprehend that someone like him could choose someone like me, but it’s happened, and it’s real. And you can wave that ridiculous wand all you want. You can’t change it. He never belonged to you. He doesn’t love you. He never did. He loves me.
Elphaba: I can’t believe you would stoop so low as to use my sister’s death to capture me.

Madame Morrible: [to the Wizard] You have visitors. A girl from the land of Kansas and three friends she picked up along the way. A man made of tin, another made of straw and a very nervous lion. They all want something they don’t have, of course.
