Dorothy: Please. I want to go home.

Madame Morrible: As Oz is my witness, I can see now how truly good you are.
Glinda: Actually, I’m not. Not yet.
Glinda: [referring to Elphaba] Friend? Yes. I mean, I did know her. That is, our paths did cross. At school.
Glinda: All Ozians. Yes, come out. Wherever you are, come out. Friends. Because I don’t see any enemies here. We have been through a frightening time. And there will be other times and other things that frighten us. But if you’ll let me, I’d like to try to help. To change things. I’d like to try to be Glinda the Good.
Fiyero: [to Elphaba] It worked. They all think you’re dead.
Fiyero: [referring to being turned into the Scarecrow] You saved my life.
Elphaba: You’re beautiful.
Fiyero: You don’t have to lie to me.
Elphaba: It’s not lying. It’s looking at things in another way.
Elphaba: [to Fiyero] I wish that Glinda could know we’re alive. But I know she can’t. No one can ever know.
